Urs Gasser Appointed as Professor of Practice at Harvard Law School

We are delighted to announce that Urs Gasser, the Executive Director of the Berkman Center, has been offered -- and has accepted -- a five-year appointment as a Professor of Practice at Harvard Law School.  The appointment, which will commence in July of 2013, is richly deserved.  Urs' remarkable record of scholarship and teaching, combined with his experience providing legal and policy advice to governments, nonprofit organizations, and private firms, make him an ideal candidate for this position.  His appointment will enhance and extend, not detract from, his work with the Berkman Center and with the Network of Internet Research Centers that he helped create.  We look forward to continuation of his leadership for years to come.
