UTILITIES: Suit accuses Southern Co. of 'fleecing the public' to build Kemper

Two Mississippi businesses and a resident have sued Southern Co.'s Mississippi Power unit, alleging fraud, mismanagement and abuse of trust when building its now $6.6 billion next-generation coal project.
