OIL: 3 deaths, oil spills and explosion touch Gulf region

Offshore oil operations have suffered three fatalities in one week, while accidents have spilled thousands of barrels of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico. Authorities are still trying to determine the severity of the two separate spills located hundreds of miles apart.
