Hey everyone. I'm hosting Alison Head at D&S on the 19th. Alison has done extensive research on how young adults find and use information. Let me know if you're interested in talking with her while she's here! Below is a bit more about her. Alison Head Ph.D. is Project Information Literacy's Executive Director and Lead Researcher. She is also a Senior Researcher at the metaLAB (at) Harvard and a Visiting Research Scholar at Purdue University Libraries. In 2017, she was awarded the inaugural S. T. Lee Lectureship in Library Leadership and Innovation at Harvard Libraries. Since 2008, 13,000 "early adults" have participated in PIL studies. The institutional sample for PIL studies has consisted of 82 public and private colleges and universities, community colleges located in the U.S. PIL has published nine open-access research reports as part of their ongoing study. Articles about PIL's work have also appeared in The Atlantic Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Education Week, Inside Higher Education, Library Journal, and The Seattle Times.
