COVID-19: We need more OSHA, not less | TheHill

Summary:

I like alot of the COVID health and safety proposals circulating rn, but a big problem IMO is they rely on OSHA enforcers to keep workers safe and there are just not enough of them. OTOH elected health and safety committees in every shop with the power to stop work would empower frontline workers to keep themselves safe. (I'm trying to talk a former health and safety colleague to write something on this to get it into the public debate but she's understandably nervous about pissing off her union.)
