"At Loughborough open access tracking is carried out using the Loughborough University Publication Information system (LUPIN) and the Institutional Repository (IR). The Research Policy Assistant (Open Access) will need to work independently and with colleagues in the Research Policy team and Library to review publication information and check compliance.

The candidate will be based primarily in the Research Policy team, but also work with the IR Managers, based in the Library, with whom the candidate may be located one day a week. The post holder will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the policies, processes and systems, including on-going developments and be able to work with colleagues in preparation of open access reports, providing one-to-one advice to individuals, occasional school training with colleagues, supporting academic staff via e-mail and phone and working with the Research Policy team, IR team and IT Services to improve and enhance reporting in this area."
