Workshop on Challenging the Current Business Models in Academic Publishing - LIBER

"On April 26th and 27th the Workshop “Challenging the Current Business Models in Academic Publishing: Accelerators and Obstacles to the Open Access Transition” has been organised in Antwerp, Belgium by Science Europe in collaboration with LIBER and the European University Association.

Aim of this Workshop was to bring together various experts to discuss and challenge the current licensing practices, in particular the “Big deals” as the dominating business model in academic publishing, their role in accelerating or hindering the transition to open access, as well as alternative business models."
