"Yesterday, the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) -- a group of editors of about a dozen prominent medical journals -- announced a much-anticipated set of new guidelines researchers must follow to publish in their pages. In a nutshell, authors will first have to include a data sharing plan in their submitted manuscripts, and later on will have to note such data sharing plans when they pre-register trials on ClincialTrials.gov or related registries."
