"One of the problems in planning and development in the Caribbean is data scarcity and Trinidad and Tobago is no exception. Data should not be difficult to access as it is crucial in decision-making. Therefore, an open access data system seeks to facilitate positive improvements in agriculture by providing data on market prices, soil fertility, weather patterns, water availability and advice on the impact of climate change to farmers."
