"Reporting to the Associate Dean for Scholarly Communication & Collections Services, the Information Technologies Librarian plays a vital leadership role in the development and provision of University Libraries technical infrastructure. The incumbent functions as the main technical product owner for the organizations library management solution, Alma, as well as interlibrary loan and digital repository software. In this capacity the incumbent works closely with faculty and staff in technical services, access services, the Westminster Law Library, and other areas where these systems are vital to daily operations. The incumbent also works closely with IT@DU and vendors on hardware, networking, and authentication issues, and provides vision for a comprehensive strategy for curation of University Libraries digital collections. Supervising two staff members with responsibilities in application development, the Information Technologies Librarian also works closely with other departments in developing and improving existing discovery platforms. Library faculty at DU actively engage in scholarly activities through research and publication, and participate in professional organizations, as well as library and campus committees."
