Summary:

"The British Library is embarking on an ambitious programme to modernise the services it offers to individual researchers, research organisations and within the global research environment. In addition to improving discovery of and access to British Library collections (on-site and on-line/remotely) this includes activities underpinning open science globally and shared digital services. The Head of Research Services will take a key role in this process, by engaging with the global research (infrastructure) environment to identify opportunities for the British Library to add value. Leading a team of research services experts, the post holder will scope and plan new services and service enhancements and work with technology providers (vendors, partners and British Library IT services) to implement them. The Head of RIS will also contribute at a senior level to the on-going development and implementation of the overall British Library research services strategy and lead the Research Infrastructure Services section of the Research Services department."
