We are thrilled to announce the 2017 cohort for the Berkman Klein Assembly pilot program launching in January. The program gathers developers and tech industry professionals for a rigorous three-week course at Harvard University, followed by a twelve-week collaborative development period to explore hard problems with running code.
The program is designed as an exciting opportunity to assemble a diverse group tasked with tackling a current challenge at the intersection of code and policy. In 2017, this challenge focuses on the question: How do we move beyond a world where virtually every computing device and network is insecure?
The 2017 cohort is made up of seventeen diverse participants with deep experience working on a wide range of areas across the private sector, academia, and civil society organizations. See below for a summary of the 2017 cohort! Participants include developers, leaders, and managers from Google, Cisco, UNICEF, Akamai, and Square, along with researchers and Ph.D. candidates from MIT and the University of London.
The pilot will be launching on January 3, 2017. For more information about the program and individuals involved, visit the Berkman Klein Assembly website. To get in touch with any questions you might have, please feel free to email us at info@berkmanassembly.org.
