Research and scholarly communication are changing.  Propelled by the potential of the open web, librarians, scholars, scientists, publishers, funders, and other stakeholders are developing, facilitating, and championing principles, practices, and policies that make scholarship more transparent, accessible, and actionable.  This workshop will present an overview of the ways in which research workflows, scholarly communication, and research assessment are evolving.  We will also introduce attendees to some of the tools, data, and organizations that are enabling these changes, with an emphasis on how libraries and librarians can contribute to and affect local and broader uptakes of open scholarship practices.  Speakers will include librarians, publishers, and scholars with hands-on and in-depth experience building, researching, and leveraging new tools and practices."
