Summary:

"Mon, 2/20/2017 | 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM | Campbell Hall 100

Participants in this session will:

  1. Understand the advantages of affordable options from faculty and student perspectives.
  2. Identify available low-cost options for course materials, including open educational resources (OERs).
  3. Learn the basics of Creative Commons licensing.
  4. Hear about work from winners of Affordable Learning Exchange grants and upcoming opportunities.

The Affordable Learning Exchange (ALX) was created to help instructors take ownership of their courses and content. We are here to help navigate the waters of affordable resources and find creative solutions that promote student savings. This includes re-imagining the textbook, encouraging faculty innovation, and empowering our faculty through grants and training opportunities to adopt, adapt, create and share open educational resources, effectively utilize library resources, and create high-quality digital course materials.

Presented by the Affordable Learning Exchange (ALX)."
