"Posting Information: Lead the planning and delivery of innovative outreach, web content, and instruction to the university community, with an emphasis on scholarly production issues such as open access and copyright. In addition, coordinate general distance education services such as creation of video tutorials, maintenance of the library's presence at the Biltmore Park instructional site, the course management software (Blackboard) and the Campus Online Portal (MyWCU). Develop outreach related to current events, such as the campus theme and student and faculty research. Outreach efforts include, but are not limited to, workshops, programs, events, and exhibits; marketing and publicity materials; social media; and research guides and tutorials. Create partnerships with other campus entities such as student services and may perform outreach to under-served campus and community groups including transfer, military, and international students. All RIS librarians at Hunter Library provide interdisciplinary, high-quality research assistance and library instruction during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. RIS librarians also participate;both on campus and at other instructional sites;in an active information literacy program; collaborate with colleagues in library-wide decision-making and initiatives; and participate in collection development. The librarian will assume primary responsibility for the promotion and delivery of library instruction and services in one discipline such as Criminal Justice or Parks and Recreation. Assume responsibility for additional duties, projects, assignments, and initiatives as needed or assigned."
