ISSMGE launches Open Access Policy for Geotechnical Papers | Geoengineer.org

"In a message signed by the President Roger Frank, and Chair of Innovation and Development Committee, Dimitrios Zekkos, posted here the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) announces the publication of its Conference and Publication Manual entitled: 'Conferences, Symposia and Workshops endorsed by the ISSMGE Including Publication and Open Access Policy'. With this new policy ISSMGE makes a major step forward on unrestricted data dissemination with a focus on publications. ISSMGE commits to the widest possible availability of high quality scientific and technical publications. According to ISSMGE this 'is of paramount importance for the advancement of the geotechnical engineering profession. Readers should have access to the widest possible range of content that is openly shared to enable the most effective research, education, and practice of geotechnical engineering and associated fields.'
