"Open Science is a non-profit organisation with the aim of fostering the dialogue about life sciences in Austria. Currently, eight Austrian scientific societies are members. Founded in 1997, Open Science (formerly dialog<>gentechnik) has since performed numerous national and international science communication projects.

Open Science is also running the Vienna Open Lab (a joint initiative of Open Science and IMBA) and is financed by public funding."
