Summary:

Last week, a large-scale coverage in the German-speaking but also international press on «scientific» rip-off journals has rekindled the debate on so-called Predatory Journals. The debate and the problem are not new - although similar "sting operations" from the past are not mentioned in the sometimes rhetorical and imprecisereports.
