Open science and open access in the Slovenian draft Research and Development Act

Public consultation is open until 29 November 2017 on the draft Slovenian Research and Development Act. The news item at the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport website states that the purpose of the act is to ensure relevant conditions for the development of qualitative and globally comparable research and development, through enabling relevant funding, awarding excellent researchers, ensuring open access to scientific publications and research data, and with high levels of ethics and integrity. Regarding open access, the news item informs that in the draft act legal background is being defined according to the national open access strategy.
