Tropic Thunder is still great.

Honestly, I was expecting the film to be terrible but it actually surprised me in a good way. I think it is a great satire.

The story was perfect to lampoon action films and Hollywood. The comedy was genius due to the actors trying to survive in a war-themed setting and the action bits were surprisingly good.

Ben Stiller and Jack Black were great but Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise were comedic gold. They may be recognizable but they play their roles perfectly. I think Downey Jr.'s character was meant to make fun of method actors and took that concept on a whole new level. Cruise was over-the-top and outrageous in a good way and I think his scenes are the most memorable of Tropic Thunder.
