Summary:

From each of the examples I will be looking at - including the UK’s Warnock Committee and Human Embryology Act 1990, the Internet Corporation for assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the UN Space Treaty and the European ban on genetically modified crops - it is possible to glean excitingly prescient information to take with us in the quest to ensure AI remains safe, beneficial and under meaningful human control.
