In February 2018, the Technical Office of DIGITAL.CSIC launched a new survey for CSIC researchers. This initiative joins the two previous surveys of the repository to learn first about the Perceptions and participation in open access in the CSIC (2010, http://hdl.handle.net/10261/28543) and then about the Practices in the management, dissemination and preservation of research data in the CSIC (2014, http://hdl.handle.net/10261/92404).

On this occasion, the motivation for the survey was to analyse the habits, preferences and opinions of CSIC researchers when carrying out and being subject to peer reviews. The survey is linked to other activities that DIGITAL.CSIC's Technical Office has been carrying out since 2014 to contribute to the international debate on the evaluation of science and possible ways to improve it.

The survey was answered by 158 CSIC researchers within one month and was divided into two clearly differentiated large blocks, one on different issues relating to peer reviews and a second block on the OPRM Module in DIGITAL.CSIC.
