Summary:

Some students find it challenging to find affordable textbooks here on campus or in Lubbock. Book prices can add up and become a financial burden on students or their parents. Fortunately, there are different options for students regarding where to purchase or rent their books. Camille Thomas, the scholarly communications librarian at Texas Tech, works with the pen textbook initiative. Tech’s library is a member of the Open Textbook Network and has access to library holdings, Thomas said. The library has been working on the open textbook program for a long time.
