Google English: "Open Knowledge Denmark has introduced a new prize: Open Data Prize.
The prize was established in 2018 in collaboration with ITU's Ethos Lab and Open4Citizens project under AAU, all three organizations are represented in the prize committee. The prize is intended to honor people, groups or projects that are distinguished in particular in the use and dissemination of open data. Criteria to be emphasized in distributing Open Data The prize is: openness, user and citizen involvement, innovation and creativity. There is no economic reward with the prize.
The three nominees for Open Data Prize 2018 are:
Bo Fristed, IT Manager at ITK, Aarhus Municipality and Chairman of Open Data DK, nominated for the great effort to gather, coordinate and strengthen municipal and regional open data initiatives under the direction of Open Data DK . Open Data DK is today a decisive player in the release of special municipal and regional public data in Denmark.
Marianne Thyrring, Director of DMI. Nominated for his work to prepare for the release of Danish climate and weather data. The open access to climate data can help prevent the consequences of climate change and extreme weather. The meteorological data creates value when used directly or in connection with systems eg. for planning production.
Merete Sanderhoff, museum inspector and senior adviser at SMK. Nominated for its extensive work on opening and digitizing cultural heritage, OpenGLAM , creative recycling and user involvement, among other things through the organization of "Wiki Labs", a series of workshops aimed at making cultural heritage easier accessible.
The winner of Open Data The prize 2018 will be published on Friday, March 2nd at our event at ITU."
