Summary:

Google English: "Paris-Dauphine University joined the signatories of the Appel de Jussieu, in favor of open science and bibliodiversity, on March 12th.

In 2017, a French collective of researchers and professionals of Scientific and Technical Information launches the Call of Jussieu.

This manifesto proposes an alternative strategy to the traditional way of scientific publishing, dominated by a few large groups, and supported by a method of quantitative evaluation (publish or perish).

It advocates the development of Open Access and the search for an innovative scientific communication model.

The Call of Jussieu identifies the following courses of action:

Support for the diversity of the actors of the scientific publication.

Budget support directed towards experimentation and the development of innovative publishing models based on Open Source tools.

Review of Research Evaluation Systems.

The development of data mining possibilities (Text and Data Mining).

The development of infrastructures favoring open access to scientific production in order to guarantee its preservation against any privatization of content.

The university joins the 60 or so signatory institutions of higher education.
