Summary:

"From the 18th to the 20th of April, 30 researchers and research support professionals from across Europe will come together in Barcelona. Here they will participate in the FOSTER open science trainer bootcamp. This intense three-day training event, will equip them with the skills to give training on open science to researchers in their own institutions. LIBER’s community engagement officer Martine Oudenhoven leads the organisation of the bootcamp, as part of the FOSTER Plus project. She will also give part of the training. Outline of the programme The first day revolves around the different aspects of open science and the materials that can support training events. On the second day, participants will be trained on how to give training. They will also work on their own open science mini-training in small groups. On the morning of day three, everyone will practise the training they prepared the day before. In the afternoon, participants will work on their own roadmap: a plan of the trainings they plan to give and how to get there. Besides trainers from the FOSTER consortium, Pedro Fernandes (Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência), Bianca Kramer and Jeroen Bosman (both Utrecht University) will join to help participants develop their training skills. More information A detailed programme and overview of participants is available on the FOSTER website."
