Summary:

Google English: "Freely available research of the Group for Agricultural Economics and Policy

Our comments on agricultural policy are based on scientific studies and publications. The underlying research must be as transparent and freely accessible as possible.

The aim of the Group for Agricultural Economics and Policy (AECP) is to make freely available publications, data, code and software generated in our research. This approach increases the transparency, reproducibility and usability of our research and democratizes access to knowledge. Ultimately, this approach reflects a responsible use of taxpayers' money. In line with the SNSF principle *, publicly funded research results are a public good.

In order to make as many publications as possible freely accessible (open access), our publications are freely available in a Postprint version in the Research Collection of ETH Zurich. This means that the version of an article accepted by a scientific journal can be obtained free of charge after a deadline dependent on the journal. Currently 44 publications of our group are available in open access ( https://bit.ly/2sotKuP ). In addition, 51 contributions of the 'IAW Series' (1991-2004) were digitized and made freely accessible https://bit.ly/2kCG1bA .

Data collected in research projects will also be made freely available whenever possible (open data). For example, we publish completely anonymized records from our surveys with a detailed description of the questions and results in specific data journals. In recent months, four articles have been published in the journal 'Data in Brief' of our group in an open access format **. Maintaining the anonymity of individuals and companies is always in the foreground...."
