The book gathers everything related to what is happening and how to develop what drives current changes in the world of research and science. The concepts of Science 2.0 and Open Science are introduced. For that, it offers a brief description of the history of science and the dissemination of knowledge. It explains the origins of our scientific culture that developed around publishing methods. The issues about the interdependencies of current concepts are clarified and it is reaffirmed that the transition to Open Science is a complex cultural change. Some reasons are discussed as to why the change is slow and the main obstacles that are encountered.

To go on to analyze the recent changes in scientific workflows and how these cause changes in the system as a whole. Open Science is a general term that encompasses a multitude of assumptions about the future of the creation and dissemination of knowledge. Based on a review of the literature, I proposed five schools of thought on Open Science: The infrastructure school (which deals with technological architecture), the public school (which refers to the accessibility of knowledge creation), the " school of measurement "(which refers to the measurement of alternative impact), the" democratic school "(which has to do with access to knowledge) and the" pragmatic school "(which deals with collaborative research)...."
