July 2018: national and international plans and projects for open science
The main news about Open Access is the announcement of the National Plan for Science opened by the Minister of Higher Education and Research. The letter of the month goes largely back on this national policy and its implications.
On July 4th, at the LIBER Congress, Minister Frédérique Vidal presented the "national plan for open science". This announcement comes as a continuation of France's policy in this area after the vote for the Digital Republic Act in 2016 and Jussieu's call in 2017. It confirms the Ministry's support for a vision of shared and open science. with a strong objective: to reach 100% of French scientific publications on public funds with free access...."
