What My First Wikimania Taught Me. – Owula Kpakpo

"When the email came confirming my participation in this year’s Wikimania 2018 happening for the second time in Africa first time in sub-Saharan Africa precisely Cape Town, South Africa. I was particularly excited especially because it was my first Wikimania after about three years of volunteering for the Wikimedia Foundation through Wikimedia Ghana User Group. Also, Wikimania coming to Africa for the second time was also exciting. I had attended two prior Wikimedia movement conferences Wiki Indaba 2017, Accra-Ghana and the Wikimedia Conference, Berlin-Germany so I knew what to expect but I was open to learning a lot from this new experience...."
