Summary:

Bjorn introduces some major problems in today's research system, specifically in terms of archiving publications, data, and the source codes arising from researches. An overview of analytic findings is presented on the irrelevance of methodological metrics of "good journals" with highly ranked ones. He suggests there are already hundreds of solutions out there for open science practices, but also stresses that Early Career Researchers must not be forced to damage their career for adapting open science, recommending that they consulted their PIs to find out what they can do to maximize their openness with their research findings while keeping in track with their career.
