Spot the difference

I arrived back at my desk in St Andrews today and looked at my mail. It included newsletters from both the London Mathematical Society and the European Mathematical Society.

The LMS newsletter told me,

2018 will be the Year of Engineering. The Government has announced that it will work with industry partners … to offer a “million direct and inspiring experiences of engineering to young people throughout the year”

while the EMS reported

Year of Mathematical Biology 2018. The Year … is a joint venture of the European Mathematical Society and the European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology.

Can I respectfully suggest that we might have a Year of Communication?
