A spate of racist attacks have taken place in Scotland in recent days amid a sickening online campaign to “Punish a Muslim”, according to religious leaders.

Several racist or Islamophobic hate crimes have been reported in Glasgow over the last 10 days, causing alarm among the city’s ethnic minorities.

The sick “Punish a Muslim” campaign offers point-based “rewards” for those who attack and abuse Muslims, including “verbal abuse”, pulling head-scarves off, beating up a Muslim, “butchering” a Muslim and burning a mosque.
