Summary:
[From Deepl] Open Science is a buzzword, covering very broad and often misunderstood notions. The University of Lausanne, through its Information Resources and Archives Service (UNIRIS), wishes to concretize these concepts and bring together existing initiatives by creating an Open Science support centre. In order to best meet the needs of researchers and their supporters in the seven faculties, 22 interviews were conducted between May and July 2018. They provided an understanding of the environment, the problems related to Open Science, the needs and gaps felt by research consultants and SERVAL correspondents, the archive of UNIL publications, as well as the opinions of central services such as the Computer Centre or external entities active in research data and based on the campus. Three strategic axes have been defined based on the information gathered: -The need to demystify Open Science, its stakes and implications, as much for researchers, for current support as for governing bodies; - The necessary improvement of communication between the people involved; - The definition of the most appropriate level to support researchers, in the specific context of the University of Lausanne. The proposed solution is a concrete, pragmatic solution based on existing structures. A mandate has been established, a complete organization and means of communication with researchers or between resource persons are defined. The costs of the solution as well as the means of financing are discussed and recommendations related to the implementation of the solution complete this work.
