Rechtsfragen bei Open Science: neuer Leitfaden (Legal Issues with Open Science: New Guidelines)

Summary:

"What rights do I need to be allowed to publish documents (as a service provider) under an Open Access license?"

"What about image rights?"

"What should you do if you no longer have a contract with a publisher and would like to publish the publication under Open Access?"

"Who has what rights to the research data that I generate?"

Scientists, librarians and other members of scientific institutions are familiar with the challenge: the legal framework does not necessarily facilitate the implementation of open science offers or the publication of scientific findings in Open Access. A new publication that was produced as part of the Hamburg Open Science (HOS) programme now offers support and advice for the German legal context.
