Deal banks heavily on hybrid option and excludes Nature-affiliated publications

For the better part of three years German research institutes including the Max Planck society have been battling the major publishers over open access. Today Projekt DEAL and SpringerNature announce to have come to an understanding on immediate open access for most – but not all publications.
