Together with the Utrecht University Medical Centre (UMCU), the UU is implementing an Open Science Programme to realise this ambition. Within this strategic, university-wide programme, themes such as Open Access, FAIR data & software, Recognition and Appreciation and Outreach & Public Engagement have been brought together. The project manager is a member of the Executive Board, now consisting of Prof. Frank Miedema (chairman) and Dr. Judith de Haan (programme manager), who is responsible for the results and the course of the programme.

As a project manager, you act as the spin-in-the-web in the Open Science Programme of Utrecht University. You are part of the programme team and make the connections between the various bodies and actors within the UU, including the UMC Utrecht, for the progress of the programme and the realisation of the programme objectives. You are familiar with the principles of open science, in the broadest sense of the word, and the goals of the Open Science Programme. You use your up-to-date knowledge and experience to promote the results of the programme.

Duties:

• Communicating the open science ambitions and policies of the UU
• entering into relationships with staff in the faculties and departments concerned in order to implement the programme optimally;
• monitoring and promoting the coherence between the thematic projects of the Open Science Programme;
• Organisational and substantive preparation of consultations, including the preparation of agendas, draft decisions and reporting;
• acting as a contact person for internal and external (national and international) stakeholders and cooperation partners in the field of the programme.
• Ensuring the follow-up of agreements within the programme and with involved colleagues within the UU and UMC Utrecht;
