Job information

We are looking for a communicative colleague who is proactive and committed. You will periodically report information from the components of the programme, the so-called work packages.   • Translating internal reports into regular NWO reports;

  • Supporting work package leaders in their partial reports;
  • Monitoring financial frameworks, supervising applicable legislation and regulations and compliance with frameworks set by, among others, the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).

Job requirements

You have the following competences and knowledge on board:

  • You have demonstrable experience in project management;
  • You are communicatively strong, a connecting personality, approachable and convincing;
  • You are able to express yourself well, both verbally and in writing, in English and Dutch;
  • You are able to play a proactive role in a large organisation with many partners;
  • You have organisational sensitivity; You have an eye for the interests of all parties involved within and outside the project organisation.
  • In the field of finance, you are able to
    • read a project budget and translate it into specific partial budgets and reports;
    • translate regulations into project control;
    • strategic budgeting, knowledge and experience of financial reporting.
    • Experience in applying for and justifying financial contributions and (inter)national grants for science, heritage and art is recommended. You should preferably have experience with academic infrastructure construction. Technical and/or scientific knowledge of digital infrastructure for the humanities is an advantage.

Terms and conditions of employment

Depending on the study programme and relevant work experience, the gross monthly salary is between € 4,538 and up to € 5826 (salary scale 12 CAO-Dutch Universities). The KNAW offers attractive fringe benefits, such as 8.3% end-of-year bonus, 8% holiday allowance, a good pension scheme, 6 weeks' holiday on an annual basis. The appointment is with the Humanities Cluster and concerns an employment contract for one year with the possibility of extension.
