The Leibniz Publication Fund for Open Access Monographs promotes and finances the Open Access publication of previously unpublished scientific monographs, edited volumes or contributions to collective works that incur publication charges (Book Processing Charge - BPC or Book Chapter Processing Charge - BCPC). The funds for the publication fund for OA monographs are made available through the Leibniz Association's Strategy Fund. This publication fund runs from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2021. The funding is being provided as part of a pilot project that is also intended to gather experience and develop and test standards for OA books. Die Förderung erfolgt im Rahmen eines Pilotprojekts, mit dem auch Erfahrungen gesammelt sowie Standards für Open-Access-Bücher entwickelt und erprobt werden sollen. Im Projektverlauf kann es daher Änderungen an den hier vorgestellten Förderbedingungen geben.

Das Pilotprojekt läuft unter der Federführung des IDS in Kooperation mit dem DIE, dem DIPF, dem GNM, dem IfZ, der TIB und der ZBW.

Die zentrale Fondsverwaltung des Publikationsfonds erfolgt über die TIB Hannover. Die TIB erfasst die Anträge, das IDS wickelt die Rechnungen ab. Die Begutachtung der eingereichten Anträge erfolgt über das Projektteam. Anträge können über unser Online-Formular gestellt werden. Die über den Monografienfonds geförderten Monografien, Sammelwerke und Beiträge werden über LeibnizOpen nachgewiesen.
