Summary:
Royal Danish Library/Roskilde University Library is seeking an energetic and innovative Open Science specialist, who can contribute to the development of Open Science at Roskilde University (RUC), and other Open Science initiatives within Royal Danish Library.
Open Science is a strategic priority for RUC and part of the University’s Strategy: “2030: Interconnected” (https://ruc.dk/en/strategy-ruc-2030-interconnected). The University has launched an ambitious Open Science programme embedded in Roskilde University Library, which a focuses on four areas:
- Citizen Science,
- FAIR data,
- Rewards & Incentives/Next Generation Metrics, and
- Open Access.
The programme consists of a number of initiatives and projects that require collaboration with administrative units and research communities at RUC, as well as contributing to a process of cultural change across the University.
You will manage the Open Science programme, run the portfolio of activities, and function as project manager for some of the larger initiatives. In addition, we expect you to take responsibility for building the Library’s citizen science services, as well as contribute to other areas within Open Science.
In addition to the above, you will also:
- Deliver services as a member of Roskilde University Library’s local research support team.
- Collaborate with Copenhagen University Library and Roskilde University Library as part of a common research support area.
- Contribute to Royal Danish Library’s Open Science strategic initiative, which involves collaboration with Aarhus University Library, Copenhagen University Library, and Roskilde University Library.
The position is available from 1 September 2022.
