Manchester Metropolitan University Library & Cultural Services are seeking a forward-thinking and innovative person to join our team as an Open Research Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to contribute to the future of open research, and possesses excellent engagement and communication skills.

As an Open Research Specialist you will develop a high profile and trusted, collaborative relationships across our academic and professional community, actively contribute to the promotion and implementation of open research practices, and support researchers in making their work openly accessible.

You will provide expertise in research data management, assisting researchers in organizing, storing, and sharing their data effectively and in compliance with institutional and funder requirements. You will deliver an engaging and responsive support service, including regular teaching and individual support.

2. Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse audiences in a research environment.
3. An innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
4. Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
5. A library qualification is not essential.
