This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new open access University Press from scratch. Following a highly successful12-month textbook pilot project, the Library is looking to expand its open publishing capacity; we’re keen to broaden our textbook offering and explore opportunities to develop a monograph imprint. The press is currently using the Pressbooks and OJS platforms.

If you are passionate about open publishing and have experience delivering academic publications, then we would love to hear from you. While we are looking to bring editorial expertise into the Library, there will be plenty of opportunities for professional development on the job.

The University of Sussex has a unique personality- one that dares to be different- and our Open Press Editorial Manager will play a key role in creating a press that represents our institution.

Please contact Bethany Logan b.c.logan@sussex.ac.uk for informal enquiries.
