A Plan S for Academic Books: Report on EASSH – OPERAS Roundtable

To take part in the discussion on Plan S for academic books, OPERAS and EASSH (European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities) organized a roundtable discussion in Brussels on March 8th, 2019.  OPERAS and EASSH are working together to tackle difficulties for social sciences and humanities (SSH) researcher in Open Access publishing. Addressed were questions like how may the implementation of Open Access for books be taken forward in the SSH?

About OPERAS

OPERAS (open scholarly communication in the european research ares for social sciences and humanities) is the European research infrastructure for the development of open scholarly communication in the social sciences and humanities. Its main goal is to coordinate and pool university-led scholarly ­communication activities in Europe in the social sciences and humanities, in view of enabling open science as the standard practice. OPERAS currently counts 40 members from 16 countries and is led by a Core Group of 9 institutions.
