Hamburg Open Science aims at making research data from Hamburg’s universities accessible for the public. This website is part of the program and provides information about the program as well as links to databases and research output like publications and research data. Hamburg going open science The Hamburg government welcomes the idea of more openness and transparency and supports the Hamburg Open Science program. All state universities, the state and university library and the Authority for Science, Research and Equality have joined forces and started the program in 2018. By the end of the program period in 2020, this website will be the platform from which everyone interested will be able to access Hamburg science. We are creating infrastructures and implementing technologies for storing vast amounts of data securely over a long period of time. For many scientists, open science and open access publishing mean a lot of change in their daily work. The program therefore also develops concepts for facilitating this change.
