Summary:

The way in which we reward and recognize academics is about to change drastically, making room for everyone’s talent. In the future, researchers will no longer be assessed solely in terms of scientific output. Rather, assessment and career paths will be based on (team) outcomes that include performance in the fields of education, leadership, impact and professional performance. The University Utrecht working group on Recognition and rewards, which is part of the university wide Open Science Programme, designs, supports, evaluates, connects and shares experiences with UU faculties and departments. This takes shape through mapping out good practices, following and learning from pilots, work sessions with employees from all UU ranks and feeding back new insights so that the Utrecht university community can learn from each other.
