Open access and books - they go well together. Just how well was demonstrated by the event marking the first anniversary of the Brandenburg Publication Fund for Open Access Monographs on May 18, 2022, because fortunately the funding structure is at a point in its development where there is less need to talk about it, but where its results speak for themselves. A stack of books is at hand, in fact - because most of the funded titles also appear in parallel in a print edition.
