Summary:
This publication deals with the topic of Open Access monitoring in Brandenburg. The 2019 Open Access Strategy of the state of Brandenburg mandated university libraries to monitor their Open Access activities at the publication level. The Vernetzungs- und Kompetenzstelle Open Access Brandenburg coordinates together with the AG Open Access Monitoring (Brandenburg) the development and implementation of a state-wide Open Access monitoring.
In addition, the possibility of evaluating data from the Deutsche Bibliotheksstatistik (DBS) for the purpose of enriching the OA monitoring is explained and an evaluation of the data field 151.1 is carried out on a national level.
