OA Book Usage Data Trust Draft Participation Model - Community Consultation

The OA Book Usage Data Trust effort https://www.oabookusage.org/ works towards fostering the sharing, aggregation, benchmarking and agreed-upon uses of scholarship usage data across global stakeholders. It does this by facilitating data connector discoverability and data governance for direct usage data connections between OA book hosting organizations that create usage and impact data and the partners and providers they grant data access to. 

The effort is currently seeking input on a proposed membership program that evolved from discussions among their Committee members and Trustees after 2023-2024 consultations indicated membership, grants and scalable infrastructure-usage related fees were the most trusted methods of cost-recovery.
