Call for the 2024 Open Science Prize for Free Research Software in France

Summary:
The French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Committee for Open Science have announced the opening of applications for the 2024 Open Science Prize for Free Research Software. Applications are open from 6 May to 24 June 24, 2024.

There are several categories of prizes, covering scientific, technical, community and documentary aspects of free software.
Eligibility conditions:
- the software is designed, maintained, and/or used by scientists and/or research institutions;
- the software must be distributed under a free license;
- the software can be autonomous or being a platform, middleware, library, module, plugin of other software;
- the software having received a prize during the two previous calls cannot apply.
Each winning software will be rewarded €5,000.
