Decentralized Science (DeSci) leverages blockchain and cryptocurrencies to overcome these barriers, promoting open access and global collaboration. This paper introduces $scihub, a community-take-over meme coin to sustainably fund Sci-Hub, a trailblazing open science platform. With 20% of its token supply allocated to Sci-Hub founder Alexandra Elbakyan through a structured donation plan, $scihub ensures consistent funding and encourage sustained community-driven effort. By combining the viral appeal of meme coins with the mission of open access, $scihub exemplifies how blockchain can address real-world challenges.
